Dr. Juliusz Poltz obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Poznan, Poland, a second M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Adam Mickiewicz University, and a Ph.D. with Habilitation in Engineering for achievements in electromagnetic field theory. Dr. Poltz was a professor at the Technical University of Poznan and at the University of Manitoba (Canada). He has worked for Siemens AG (West Germany), Radiospectroscopic Apparatus Factories (Poland), the Industrial Applications of Microelectronics Centre Inc. (Winnipeg), and Quantic Laboratories (Winnipeg). Dr. Poltz has published over 80 technical papers and three books. He specializes in applications of functional analysis and numerical methods in electromagnetic field analysis and synthesis. In 1992 Dr. Poltz co-founded OptEM Engineering, and is currently the president of OptEM.
